Christmas is almost here.
And I love almost everything about Christmas, except for the super long lines in the stores. I enjoy the decorations that line the streets in my town, the balls that hang from the trees and the snowflakes mounted on almost every street light in the heart of town.
I love the holiday movies, the cooking shows or segments, and the Christmas decorations that adorn front lawns.
All of those things are exciting, but isn’t Christmas really about God sending His son into the earth to redeem mankind?
As I posted last year, Jesus is the Reason for the Season. It’s awfully easy to get caught up in the festivities and forget about the spiritual aspects of this holy season.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6
